Australian National Championships
Hi all and welcome to a unique opportunity to become involved in a new, exciting and breath-taking aeromodelling event. This event is pending interest, so if this looks like something you would like to try, please let me know.
There are very few restrictions on the type of aircraft you can use. This is a demonstration event for the purpose of testing the waters. As long as the model has enough electric power to gain sufficient height, then be able to perform the required manoeuvres without the motor running and without powering into the manoeuvre proper, then you can bring along what you like. It may be a slope soaring model with an electric motor, a model you use for what used to be called 7 Cell Electrics, perhaps an F3B machine, a pylon racer or even an electric patternship.
Basically you will be required to perform 7 mandatories and 2 optionals per round. This includes a precision landing. Each manoeuvre is to be done separately and not in a pattern-type arrangement. i.e. gain height, switch off motor, perform manoeuvre, switch on motor, gain height, and so on.
All you need to know is here.

Below is a demonstration of Electric-Assisted Sailplanes (EAS).

I found this link to be very interesting and useful if you really want
to get serious about aerobatics.
